Dr Mehmet Uras

Founder and Chief Technical Officer 

Mehmet received his Bachelor of Science, Master's of Science and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. He founded PRE after a long career in academia where he taught at several Michigan universities including Lawrence Technological University and Wayne State University as well as the University of Hartford. He is an extensively published author and holds several patents, both individually and with Tier 1 academic institution. Additionally he has consulted for numerous organizations including the Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and National Science Foundation (NSF). Mehmet is excited to work with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and U.S. Army TACOM LCMC to improve the safety of our servicemen and servicewomen, and exploring how technology can be used for better civilian safety.

Ebru Herzog - Uras

Chief Operating Officer

Ebru has been working with PRE since July 2014 and was promoted to Director of Business Development and Government Relations in April 2015. She later became Vice President and since 2020 has been Chief Operating Officer as PRE transitions into a woman-owned small business. Ebru is a graduate of Middlebury College, Sciences Po, and the University of Oxford, Balliol College, Oxford where she completed a Master's of Modern Middle Eastern Studies as a Kaesbey Scholar. She was a Robert Bosch Stiftung Fellow in Berlin, working at the Bundestag and German Federal Foreign Ministry and a consultant at NATO in Executive Management. Prior to joining PRE, Ebru was a commissioned Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, stationed in Islamabad, Pakistan and Washington, DC.
